Research overview：
生きた動物の脳で活動する神経細胞の様子を、高速で観察することのできる顕微鏡システムの開発を行います。2光子励起顕微鏡の走査速度を高めることで、従来法では見ることのできなかった、単一神経細胞内や神経細胞ネットワークの活動を高時間空間分解能で観察することを可能にします。さらに、光により生きた脳内の神経細胞を刺激する方法を開発します。これらにより、脳における神経情報処理の包括的理解を目指します。
