Research overview：
超高速現象の映像化に適した顕微鏡を用い、「表面プラズモン」と呼ばれる、電子の集団的揺らぎの映像化を行います。1秒間あたりの映像のコマ数は、3千兆フレーム(3×1015/S)。表面プラズモンは10nm以下の微小空間に留まったり、また逆に光とはほとんど同じ速度で伝播したりします。その運動を直接観察する事でこの著しい性質について理解し、小型で超高速動作する情報処理デバイスに結びつけることを目標にしています。
