Research overview：
生体適合性に優れた半透膜からなるデバイスと血糖応答性インスリン分泌細胞を組み合わせるバイオ人工膵臓(Bio-artificial Pancreas, BAP)を開発した。試作したBAPを糖尿病犬に埋め込む実験を実施するとともに、BAP充填する膵島細胞の分離法、凍結保存法などについても検討した。
