脳神経系は自分で学習し、複雑な情報処理を高速に実行できる超低消費エネルギー情報処理システムです。さらに、何十年もの間特段のメンテナンスなしに動きつづけます。この情報処理を模倣した電子回路システム(シリコン神経ネットワーク)のプラットフォームを構築し、超低消費電力で明示的なプログラムなしで複雑な情報を自律的・高速に処理できるロバストな次世代情報処理システムの基盤技術の確立を目指します。
