Research overview：
本研究は、遺伝子操作の「脱酵素化」に取り組み、光応答型遺伝子操作という新しい方法論の開発を行うものです。現代の遺伝子工学は酵素を用いた遺伝子操作に基づくものですが、生体内細胞中での操作、マイクロマシン上での操作には限界があるとされてきました。光応答型遺伝子操作法はこれらの問題を解決し、細胞内での遺伝子治療、マイクロチップ上での遺伝子診断、バイオコンピューティング等へ展開することが期待されます。
