Research overview：

金型や工具の材料である超硬合金は、結合材としてCoを多用しているが、近年、価格高騰や供給不安が指摘されている。本研究は、Coの代替材料としてSi3SiC2を取り上げ、実用化を進める。耐摩耗性、高温強度、耐食性に優れた超硬材料となることが期待できる。
