生体インプラント材として使用されるチタン合金、コバルトクロム合金等の表面仕上げを大面積電子ビーム照射法(EBポリッシング)によって短時間に精度よく行う革新的手法を確立することを目的とし、表面平滑化特性の解明、表面改質効果についての検討を行う。
