Research overview：
Long non-coding RNA(LncRNA)というタンパク質を翻訳しない長鎖RNAの存在が近年明らかになりました。本研究では新たに同定したLncRNAから翻訳されるスモールプロテインの分子機構と生理的役割の解析を培養細胞や遺伝子改変マウスなどを用いて進めていきます。これまで見逃されてきた、スモールプロテインという新たな因子の解析により、様々な疾患のメカニズム解明に繋げたいと考えています。
