Research overview：
次世代陽電子断層撮影装置への応用を目指し、マイクロ引き下げ法を用いて、Pr:YAP シンチレータを有効原子番号50以上、蛍光寿命 10 ns 以内、発光量 10000 ph/MeV 以上の高特性化を図り、これらの物性値を達成した組成でもって、チョクラルスキー法により 1 インチ径以上の結晶を育成し、量産化の基盤技術を確立することを目標とし、研究開発を行った。結果として、これらの目標を達成することが出来た。
