Research overview：
本研究開発課題では、PDB(蛋白質立体構造データバンク)と BMRB(NMR実験情報データバンク)を、日米欧の国際協力によりハイブリッド法など新たな手法に拡張し、国際組織である wwPDB の枠組みの下で構築・公開する。その際、特にデータ品質管理のための検証レポートの拡充とセマンティック化を図る。また、生体高分子と複合体を形成している低分子化合物に対して化学分野のデータベースである CSD(ケンブリッジ結晶構造データベース)との統合化も図る。また、たんぱく質の種々の機能情報が利用できるようにツールを高度化するとともに、データベースの利用を促進するための講習会などの活動を幅広く行う。
