Research overview：
ゲノムDNAは微小な細胞内にきちんと収納され、高度に折り畳まれています。そのプロセスを理解することは細胞内で機能する合成DNAの適切なデザインに重要です。私はDNAのねじれを解消する酵素であるトポイソメラーゼ2(TOP2)が、DNAの折り畳みに重要なコヒーシンの結合部位で機能することを見出しました。DNAのねじれストレスの原因とTOP2の役割を解明し、ゲノムの核内配置機構の理解を目指します。
