Research overview：
iPS細胞から効率的かつ生理的な状態に近い血液細胞を試験管内で誘導することを目標とします。新規に見出した遺伝子発現調節因子etv2をiPS細胞に導入してより生理的な血液、血管細胞の誘導が可能と考えています。etv2は血液、血管系の細胞に運命決定された最も初期の集団に一過性に発現するマーカーであり、これを指標に血管、血液の前駆細胞をiPS技術を応用して純化、大量培養し組織再生に使用可能とすることを目指します。
