Research overview：
蛍光共鳴エネルギー移動(FRET)はタンパク質の構造を調べる上で有用な手法ですが、タンパク質の特定の2ヶ所に蛍光基を導入することはこれまで困難とされてきました。本研究では、4塩基コドンを用いてFRETのドナー・アクセプターとなる蛍光標識アミノ酸を特定の2ヶ所に導入したタンパク質を合成します。これにより、その2ヶ所の間の距離を求めたり、さらに基質などの結合によるタンパク質の構造変化を検出することが可能になります。
