瞬時学習によるエピソード記憶の形成とその運用・利用に関する海馬の脳イメージング研究に基づき、知的学習の基本原理・理論の構築を行い、人間知能の特性の解明を目指す。特に、教育の場に実践的に適用し、授業法の良さを科学的に解明することによる教授法設計を目指す。本研究により、脳研究と教育が融合した研究分野を確立し、教育や自己能力開発、創造力開発等、人間と社会の活性化に資することが期待される。
