Research overview：
腸内細菌叢の形成原理や宿主との関連性は極めて複雑で難解です。腸内共生システムとして優れた特徴を有するミツバチを用いて腸内細菌叢を実験的に再構築し、個々の腸内細菌の挙動を1細胞レベルで可視化・定量することで、腸内細菌叢の時空間ダイナミクスおよび関連する宿主行動・生理機能の解明に挑みます。ミツバチを腸内細菌叢研究の新しいモデルとして確立し、腸内細菌叢が制御する宿主機能・行動の分子基盤に迫ります。
