Research overview：
植物においてアミノ酸栄養として以外のメチオニンの新規生理機能を開拓する。そこで,本研究では,メチオニンが関与する生命現象として,タンパク質のN末端のメチオニンの除去(NME; N-terminal methionine excision)に着目した。メチオニンの新規生理機能を,1NMEの活性調節と,2NMEに関連した酸化還元応答,3新規制御機構において明らかにするものである。
