Research overview：
正常細胞は、癌遺伝子が活性化すると癌化を防ぐために細胞増殖を永久に停止する「細胞老化」というしくみを持っています。本研究では、細胞老化という生体防御機構に必須なエピジェネティック機構とそれに制御されるシグナルネットワークを解明し、この機構が破綻することで細胞老化が回避され発癌の原因となる異常を同定します。癌遺伝子活性化における発癌機構の解明と、癌細胞を老化させる新たな治療法の確立を目指します。
