Research overview：

細胞性粘菌Dictyostelium discoideum(和名:キイロタマホコリカビ)は土壌微生物の一種で、カビに良く似た淡黄色の子実体を形成する。近年我々は「細胞性粘菌由来の低分子物質DIF-1 [1-(3,5-dichloro-2,6-dihydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)hexan-1-one]が各種哺乳類細胞の糖取込みを促進する」ことを発見した。本研究ではこの発見に基づき、全く新しいタイプの肥満・糖尿病治療薬の開発を目指す。
