本研究では、リボソームディスプレー法により、αヘリックスやβシートなどを形成する傾向の強い配列をランダムに連結したタンパク質ライブラリーから、単一構造に折りたたまれるタンパク質、および機能性タンパク質を選択し、これらの構造特性を明らかにすることを目指します。最終的に、天然に存在する配列、構造はタンパク質物理的に可能な唯一の解なのか、また、少数のタンパク質を基に現存する物が構成されたのかについて検討します。
