Research overview：
本研究では、植物がどのように二酸化炭素の濃度変化を感知するのかを解明するため、植物・大気間のガス交換の90%以上を担う気孔に焦点をあて、二酸化炭素を感知して気孔閉鎖を引き起こす未知の細胞内情報伝達装置に生化学・分子遺伝学・ケミカルバイオロジーを駆使した複合的アプローチで迫ります。さらに、植物の二酸化炭素取り込みの促進や水利用効率の改善に繋がる革新的新規化合物の単離と活用を目指します。
