【請求項1】Ni又はNi合金で構成される発泡金属体で構成される集電体と、前記発泡金属体の細孔内に配置された負極材と、を有する非水電解質二次電池用負極であって、 前記発泡金属体は、平均細孔径が500μm以下であり、気孔率が90~99%であり、 前記負極材は、シリコン系材料で構成される負極活物質と、下記一般式(1)で表されるケイ酸塩を含む骨格形成剤と、導電助剤と、バインダと、を含む組成物の硬化物であり、前記負極活物質、前記骨格形成剤、前記導電助剤及び前記バインダの固形分合計を100質量%とした場合、前記骨格形成剤の含有量が3.0~40.0質量%である、非水電解質二次電池用負極。[化1]A2O・nSiO2 ・・・一般式(1)[上記一般式(1)中、Aは、Kであり、nは、2.0以上3.5以下である。]
