【請求項1】 被検体を互いに異なる時刻に撮像して得られた第1の画像と第2の画像とに共通して含まれる部位の一部の経時変化の検出を支援する画像処理装置において、 前記経時変化を差分として示す前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像との差分画像を取得する取得手段と、前記差分画像によって強調された部位を示す情報を前記差分画像と対応付けて記憶部に記録する記録手段と、前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像の少なくとも一つと、前記差分画像と、を表示手段に表示させる表示制御手段と、を備え、前記表示制御手段は、前記差分画像と対応付けて記憶された前記差分画像によって強調された部位を示す情報に基づいて、前記第1の画像または前記第2の画像の少なくとも1つの表示パラメータを決定することを特徴とする画像処理装置。
