【請求項1】 正極、亜鉛を含む負極及び電解液を備える亜鉛二次電池であって、前記電解液は、pHが7未満であり、亜鉛金属塩及び水を含有し、前記亜鉛金属塩に対する前記水の含有量がモル比で2以上6以下の範囲であり、前記亜鉛金属塩が塩化亜鉛であり、前記正極が、正極活物質として、酸素、又は金属イオンを挿入脱離可能な金属酸化物、硫化物、若しくはポリアニオン系化合物を含有する、亜鉛二次電池。
