Research overview：
本研究は陽電子断層撮影(PET)への応用を目指した励起子発光シンチレーター単結晶に関する。励起子発光は、新たなPET用シンチレーターの発光原理として期待でき、従来よりも蛍光寿命が短い材料が実現できる可能性がある。本研究ではPET用の励起子発光シンチレーター単結晶を開発し、その実用性能を評価する。
