Research overview：
眼の網膜は唯一観察可能な神経で、認知症発症前から神経変性の原因物質が沈着することが報告されています。網膜内の異常蛋白を直接的に検知できれば、早期かつ特異的な認知症の診断につながります。本研究では、脳との連関からみる網膜のポテンシャルに着目し、工学分野と融合的研究を行い、新たな生体網膜イメージング技術を開発し、既存技術を付与することで、眼からどこまで認知症の診断、早期発見に迫れるか挑戦します。
