Research overview：
本研究では、ひも状の単分子ポリケトン分子を小さい分子の精密さと高分子の大きさを合わせ持つ「中分子ひも」と位置づけ、より巨大な分子を多彩かつ高精度に作り出す合成技術を開発します。この新しい合成技術により、光によって導電性を変化させる分子ワイヤーやイオンを選択的に抽出する巨大環状化合物、分子を柔軟に取り組んで構造解析を実現する単結晶といった巨大機能性分子材料を作り出します。
