現在の生物学では、哺乳動物の全身発生過程など、複雑な多細胞システムの分子・細胞プロファイルの観察は対象の破壊を必要とします。したがって、これらの魅力的なプロセスの時系列動態を観察することはできません。本プロジェクトでは細胞搭載型の観察記録システムによって細胞が経験する様々なイベントを人工DNAメモリーに書き込んでいく「DNAイベントレコーダー」を開発し、マウスの全身発生プロセスを明らかにします。
