物質が示す様々な機能は、そこに内在する電子自由度の対称性と密接に結びついています。本研究では、ナノ空間の対称性を操作した様々な薄膜状人工物質-2次元メタマテリアル-を開発し、新原理の光スピン流生成・制御やスピン光電変換など、物質本来の特性に縛られない新規光スピン機能創出の基盤技術を構築します。
