Research overview：
ゲノム上のDNA化学修飾(エピゲノム)は、真核生物と同様に、バクテリアやアーキア、ウイルスでも広くおきており、生理学的に重要な役割を担っています。しかし、今日までの研究例は分離培養可能な生物種の一部に偏在しており、その多様性や分布、進化・生態への影響など、様々な事が未解明です。本研究では非培養的な「メタエピゲノム」解析手法を用いて、高温環境の微生物叢が持つDNA化学修飾の包括的解明を目指します。
