Research overview：
生物の多くの機能は進化の過程で効率化されているため、これらの機能を研究し技術開発に取り入れることは、技術革新を引き起こす可能性を秘めています。本研究では、走査トンネル顕微鏡を用いて、個々の分子を配列させたモデル光合成系を形成し、配列に対応した光電変換機能を原子精度で評価します。構造と機能の相関を解明し、光合成で驚異的な効率で生じる光電変換機能を人工的に発現し、配列構造により制御することに挑みます。
