ブラインドサッカー選手のような視覚障がい者アスリートは、目が見えていると錯覚するほど巧みで正確な運動パフォーマンスを発揮することができます。視覚に頼ることなく、脳はどのようにして正確な空間認知や身体制御を実現しているのでしょうか?本研究は、視覚障がい者の身体的な脳の情報表現に着目し、視覚を失った脳が、身体感覚(固有感覚)を活用して空間認知や運動制御を実現する脳内機序の解明を目指します。
