Research overview：
貴重な天然の芳香族高分子であるリグニンの利用を考える上で、パルプ製造時の廃液から大規模に得られる工業リグニンは重要である。本研究では、工業リグニンに特化した独自の分析法により、複雑多様な化学構造と物性の相関を体系的に理解し、工業リグニンの個性に立脚した合目的的な材料設計指針を構築する。既存の競合材料にはない付加価値をもつ高機能・高性能な高分子材料を創製し、用途に応じて最適化する技術体系を確立する。
