Research overview：
造血幹細胞を用いた細胞・再生医療は、白血病などの悪性の血液疾患以外にも、遺伝子改変技術等を組み合わせることで、将来的には様々な難治性疾患を根治しうることが期待されています。その一方で、造血幹細胞が生体内にごく僅かしか存在せず細胞の調整そのものが容易でないことが、これら夢の技術開発の大きな障害となっています。そこで本研究では、これらの医療技術開発に革新をもたらす体外細胞増幅技術の開発を目指します。
