Research overview：
湖はそれぞれ、祖先的背景を共有しながらも湖独自の進化を遂げた、遺伝的に「似て非なる」微生物生態系を擁しています。本研究では異なる湖の微生物多様性をゲノム解像度で相互比較可能な研究基盤を創出し、その進化的背景に迫ります。これにより、個々の生態系の観察では捉えられなかったゲノム進化の普遍メカニズムを炙り出し、「生物の多様性はいかにして生まれ、維持されているのか?」という問いに挑戦します。
