Research overview：
老化過程において、レトロトランスポゾンの発現上昇が免疫応答異常を伴う加齢性疾患に関与することが示唆されていますが、その動態制御やメカニズムはまだよくわかっていません。本研究は、老化細胞において、ヒトL1レトロトランスポゾンがどのようにして慢性炎症にもつながるような免疫応答の破綻やDNA傷害を引き起こすのか、オミクス解析を駆使してその作動原理を明らかにし、これを制御する手法の開発を目指します。
