Research overview：
植物の根の表面から突出する「根毛」は、水分・養分の吸収に重要な働きを持つ細胞です。根毛の分化過程で発現する遺伝子が多数同定されていますが、それらを適切なタイミングで発現させる仕組みは不明です。本研究では、植物細胞の大半を占める「液胞」と、遺伝子発現の司令塔である「核」が互いの動態を制御し合う『動的相互作用』の存在を証明し、更には、その遺伝子発現と根毛分化誘導における役割を実証します。
