Research overview：
静止状態にある成体神経幹細胞は、刺激に応じて活性化され新生ニューロンを産生します。そのプロセスの変容は記憶や学習能力の低下など、加齢に伴う脳機能低下の一因とされますが、その原因やメカニズムは不明です。私は、タンパク質を生成する翻訳過程に注目し、神経幹細胞活性化・分化における翻訳品質管理機構の役割と加齢に伴うその変容に焦点を絞った研究を行い、幹細胞の老化防止の方策を探索します。
