Research overview：
近年頻発する海洋熱波を始めとする極端海洋現象による低次生態系や大気ー海洋間二酸化炭素(CO2)交換量への影響が危惧されています。本研究では、極端海洋現象ーCO2濃度ー植物プランクトンの生理状態(光合成活性)の相互作用の解明と海洋炭素循環への影響を評価するための高時空間観測システムを構築し、北太平洋におけるCO2濃度と光合成活性の季節変動を同時に把握できる世界初のデータセットを創出します。
