Research overview：
生物はそれぞれ独自の「環世界」を知覚しています。害虫の環世界を知ることは、その害虫の認識機構を逆手取った防除法開発に繋がります。本研究の目標は、農学分野で甚大な被害を与えている植物寄生性線虫の環世界を知ることです。本線虫だけが持つ感覚ニューロンに着目し、ニューロン破壊試験、遺伝子発現解析・破壊試験によってその機能を解明することで、植物寄生性線虫が感知する独自の環世界の一端を明らかにします。
