Research overview：
植物が病原菌を認識すると、ペプチドなどのDAMPsと呼ばれる物質を放出し、それを受け取った植物細胞の免疫を強化します。本研究では、「植物が放出するDAMPsが、実は病原菌によって認識され、病原力を高める因子として利用されている」という、新しい植物-病原菌相互作用のモデルを提唱し、実証に挑みます。本成果により、病原菌のDAMPs認識による病原力発揮機構を標的とした新規農薬開発への貢献を目指します。
