シリコーンは地殻中に豊富に存在するケイ素と酸素を主体とする樹脂材料であり、原油由来のプラスチックとは似て非なるものです。本研究では、シリコーン系において新しい多孔性柔軟材料、すなわち多孔性ソフトマテリアルを創成することを目的としています。シリコーン系における新しい水溶液合成法を開拓することによってその化学構造や多孔構造の探索空間を拡大し、環境負荷の低いシリコーン材料の未踏の可能性を引き出します。
