Research overview：
筋の老化はサルコペニアと呼ばれ大きな社会問題となっています。筋組織に内在する間葉系間質細胞(筋MSC)は筋の恒常性を維持しており、本細胞の機能低下はサルコペニア発症に寄与します。筋MSCは筋組織内でいくつかの特徴的な局在をとり、その局在によって異なる機能を担うと考えられます。本研究では、筋MSCの局在依存的な特性とその加齢変容を解明し、得られた知見からサルコペニアの予防・治療法開発を目指します。
