Research overview：
データセンタネットワークにおける通信需要は急増しており、通信機器の省電力化が不可欠です。これまで、信号の経路制御は電気スイッチにより行われてきましたが、電気スイッチで行われる光・電気変換には高い電力を要します。この問題の解決策として、光信号を光領域で経路制御する光スイッチの導入が期待されています。本研究は、低消費電力、大容量、高拡張性を兼ね備えたデータセンタ向け光スイッチの実現を目的としています。
