Research overview：
地球規模の気候変動に伴い海洋の昇温化や酸性化は急速に進行し、海洋生態系における'目に見えない種内の遺伝的多様性の消失'が予想されています。本研究は環境変化に迅速に応答し、魚類餌料としても重要な動物プランクトンであるカイアシ類に着目し、将来的な変化に脆弱な集団・海域をゲノムレベルで特定します。また、プランクトンの多様化プロセス等、ゲノム情報を活用した今後の生態学的研究の道筋を示すことも目的とします。
