Research overview：
人間活動により排出される人為起源鉄は、海洋一次生産を支える重要な鉄の供給源です。本研究では、一次生産を支える鉄の供給源を解析する新たな手法として、含鉄生体分子ヘムBの鉄安定同位体比分析法を開発します。この手法を海水や海底堆積物に応用し、現在および過去の一次生産者による人為起源鉄の利用を可視化することで、人為起源鉄が炭素循環に与える影響を明らかにします。
