Research overview：
ベージュ脂肪細胞は誘導型の熱産生脂肪であり、エネルギー消費量を増大させます。このため、ベージュ脂肪細胞を増やし活性化させることは、肥満や糖尿病をはじめとする生活習慣病の予防・改善に寄与すると考えられます。本研究では、ベージュ脂肪細胞の前駆細胞(ベージュ脂肪前駆細胞)の調節機序を明らかにし、同細胞を増やすことでエネルギー消費の増大につながる機能性物質を同定することを目的とします。
