Research overview：

日本を含む「暑い」環境に生息する生物は「暑熱応答」なる生命力を宿します。恒温動物である哺乳類には高体温症・熱中症のリスクが常に伴うため、この力は特に不可欠です。本研究では、体温調節中枢である視索前野POAを軸に時空間スケールの大きい研究を展開します。生体内/外の温度情報の統合、暑熱レベルに適した柔靭な応答、暑熱順化を実現する神経機構の解明に挑み、暑熱から生命を守る「しなやかな力」の真髄に迫ります。
