Research overview：
細胞質は、in vitro でゲル化し流動性が失われる程の濃厚タンパク質溶液である。しかし、生きた細胞内では細胞質は流動性を保っており、流動化機構が存在すると考えられる。その候補として、細胞自身が代謝エネルギーを利用して細胞質を能動的に攪拌している現象が想定される。本研究では生命力の一つの顕れとして、この能動的攪拌現象すなわち非平衡揺らぎに注目し、そのメカニズムや、生理的意義を追求する。
