Research overview：
本研究では、遺伝子のコドン組成と翻訳装置(リボソーム)の改変による有用遺伝子の発現量強化を通じて、カーボンニュートラル社会の実現に不可欠な劣悪環境でのバイオマス生産を向上させる育種技術の開発を目指す。ソルガムを対象作物として、ストレス環境下での発現変動に重要なコドン組成とリボソームタンパク質変異を明らかにし、従来の分子育種では活用されてこなかった翻訳制御を核とした新機軸育種技術の基盤構築を行う。
