Research overview：
タンパク質は長い年月をかけて進化した結果、多様な機能を獲得し複雑な生命システムを制御できるようになりました。その進化の間には、一度獲得した酵素機能を失ったタンパク質も多数存在し、それらは「偽酵素」あるいは「擬似酵素」と呼ばれ、未だ謎に包まれています。本研究では、タンパク質構造予測および設計技術を用いて、未知の擬似酵素を探索し改造することにより、細胞を自在に操る新規手法の開発を行います。
